Rogers cup is tennis tournament which is held in Canada every year. It is also known as Canadian Open or Canadian Masters. The competition is played on hard courts. The tournament was founded in 1881. The locations of the tournament are Montreal and Toronto, Canada. 2018th season is 128th edition of the cup.

And now he will face Australian Open runners up Marin Cilic in the quarter finals on 11th August.
Nadal secured his place in the quarters by edging past 3 times Grand slam winner stan Wawrinka, who hailed from Switzerland.
Disruptions were made by the rain many times in this tournament and the match between Nadal and Wawrinka was also affected by it.
It was a good match played between the two but Nadal made the better out of it. The world No.1 has been confident as well as cautioned for the next match as the opponent is not easy to beat.
Stan Wawrinka deserves an applause for how he played against Nadal. He was out for Injury and this cup is a comeback for him.
On the other hand, Novak Djokovic was defeated by Greece acer Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16 simplifying Nadal’s way in winning the Rogers cupas Nadal was beaten by Novak in recently concluded Wimbledon.
